Business-analysis: Business Statistics

 

There is a lot of talk these days about transforming HR into a ‘business partner’ that helps generate revenue for the company. To achieve this, a tool is needed that can show the effectiveness of the HR function in the organization and help make decisions based on more than just ‘expert opinion’. This tool is business analysis methods.

 

Course objective:

  • The ‘minimum’ task is visionary /to form an understanding of the application of business analysis methods in solving HR problems/
  • The ‘maximum’ task is practical /to teach how to apply business analysis methods to solve HR problems (Benchmarking, HR metrics, KPI, ROI, reporting, research, forecasting)/

 

Course audience:

  • HR director /to learn how to understand the analysis process and control the results of analytics, as well as use them in decision-making/
  • HR manager /to learn how to solve business problems using methods analytics/

 

Course content:

  • Personnel retention analytics. Personnel engagement analytics. Personnel development analytics
  • Analytics methods used to solve business problems in HR
  • Definition of concepts: what should be called analytics and is there a place for it in HR? Reporting vs. Analytics
  • Functional block /Analytics methods/
    • Data collection and quality
    • The art of interpretation or ‘statistical subsistence minimum’: Data set analysis
    • Studying relationships. Formation and testing of hypotheses (and benchmarks)
    • Data-based storytelling
    • Personnel research methods: focus groups, in-depth interviews, surveys, observations. Independent research
    • Building models to achieve target HR KPIs on the example of a staff retention project using predictive analytics methods. Building and managing predictive models
    • Employee segmentation: practical implementation and management. ‘HR marketing’. Using CRM approaches. Lifecycle management employees
  • Strategic block /Is analytics a competitive advantage for a company?/
    • Stages of analytics development in companies and HR departments
    • Data-based corporate culture
  • Management block /Analytics development/
    • Analytics resources: HR specialist, analyst, outsourcing
    • Development of analytical competence in a company

 

Training format:

  • In online format for four days (09.30-13.00) or in offline format for two days (09.30-17.30); corporate training format is also possible
  • Real examples/case studies of companies and case studies of international business schools
  • Personal consultations with a teacher

 

Software usage:

  • Microsoft Excel /with activated Data Analysis module/
